Dear Mr. Owens, Thank you for your response. I have one follow up question to your response, which was very helpful, thank you. It's in regards to this last part pasted in below. It seems that you were saying, the letter had to include the receipts for any REPAIRS that were paid with the Security Deposit and also saying that the letter had to be sent to the tenant BEFORE the repairs were done. Can you clarify which it is?
"You can pay to have the dish removed and then send a copy of the receipt along with the signed statement for that deduction. This doesn't have to be sent until the end of the original lease, but can be done sooner. ANY deduction before sending this letter is a violation."
These are important questions, but I think you will get superior guidance if I move this for you over to a different category of law.
