File for full custody?
I have shared custody with ex girlfriend never married. My ex is now living with an ex felon who went to jail for narcotics distribution. He is in jail once again for assault and burglary and violation of parole. If he gets released, can I file for an emergency custody and then file for full custody. The ex has allowed this felon to babysit my daughter. Can I get a protective order keeping him away from my daughter. What are my options?

You may be able to argue that your daughter's mother does not act in the best interest of the child, but you will need more than that to constitute an "emergency." Is your "shared custody" court-ordered, or agreed upon? Why not file for a modification of child custody before he is released? It would be best for you to discuss this matter with a family law attorney directly. There are too many variables that require clarification.
