Im looking into opening a bussines and not to certain on something. Lets say for example I wanted to open a Custom Motorcycle Shop, Where we would offer regular maintenace, repairs, customizing to the customers needs and also selling motorcycles.
My question is if I where to buy lets say 50 oil filters off of ebay, when a customer comes in and wants an oil change how can I legally re-sell that oil filter to them for there oil change? Is there some kind of requirement for me to be able to do so?
Also lets say I buy a motorcycle or I build a custom motorcycle and want to sell it. Would selling the motorcycle through my business be the same as selling it privatly? Just sign the title over to the customer? Any special requirements to buy and sell new or used motorcycles?
Any help you can offer would be great. Thanks.
Your questions show that you need to do some basic reading about how to start a business. I strongly suggest that you buy the three books below and spend a weekend reading them and taking notes. Then speak with a local business attorney who will help you to set up the business in the proper form -- and refer you to a good accountant as well. Good luck.
