The insurance of the other person involved in the accident keeps sending me the bill for damages: Apparently my buyer fails to respond to insurance claim. I have my buyer's name but not his address to fill the release of liability on the DMV website... How do I get his address in order to avoid having to fill "unknown" in the address field? Thank you for your prompt answer
I would think all you would have to show is proof of sale.
This response does not create any attorney-client relationship. Only a signed written agreement can do that. This answer is only in relation to the facts presented and may change according to unidentified facts. Always consult with an attorney.
Did you obtain a bill of sale from the buyer?
If so, send a copy to the other party's insurance company.
If that does not do the trick, you are probably going to need to consult with an attorney in your area to assist you. Use the "Find a lawyer" link at the top of the screen for the names of some attorneys near you.
Turn it over to your insurance company and see if they can respond on your behalf.
