Ex girlfriend move out six months a go. Moved out of state. She is no longer on the lease. How much notice if any do I need to give her before getting rid of her belongings it’s an excessive amount of perfume and books. And I don’t believe she has the means or the money to come back and get it
Seven days, by whatever means you can contact her in writing (social media, email). Under RCW 59.18.312(3), you are supposed to give written notice, if you consider yourself her "landlord" and she was sub-leasing through you. But that supposes that a tenant provides a forwarding address. Still, written notice for anything is best, and even text messages are better than nothing. You then have the right to sell these things and off-set any amounts she may have cost you by just abandoning.
