Egress window in fairfax county Virgina. My sister bought a house and than she made a egress window .without county permission. As there was already a big window hole there. She just changed the framing. And replaced a new well. While doing it she called a contractor do give the flooring quote .. She didn't like him. So she said no. Than she threaten my sister that if she doesn't give him work she will call the county... My sister is first time home owner. She didn't know .. Now what are her best option. She doesn't mind calling the county but is worried that they might fine her or do something wrong...
She has recorded all the calls that contractor gave and she doesn't mind dealing with the county but doesn't want to Give in to such blackmailers...
As they just bought the house it's a old house there are no permits pulled on it...
Your sister should report this contractor to POLICE. She would be foolish to do any business with this contractor.
