I borrowed money from my parents and used it to purchase a property. I am the only name on the deed. My wife moved into the house on the property and refused to allow me to live there, she made one payment to my parents and then abandoned the property,is she responsible for paying half the amount owed to my parents?
You borrowed the money. Unless your wife signed a promissory note or mortgage note, you are responsible for repaying the loan.
If you file for divorce or separation, the court could hold her responsible for the payments, particularly if she plans to continue to live there.
