As an F1 international student I entered the US on January 3, 2016 and then married a US citizen in October 2017, I filed AOS in January 2018 and had my biometrics on February 27th, 2018. Thereafter my university terminated my SEVIS on March 23rd, 2018. So during interview if I’m asked that “ Have you Ever violated the terms and conditions of your nonimmigrant status”, then the answer is obvious that: I HAVE NOT VIOLATED the terms and conditions of my visa, because this question pertains to my status at the time of filing the case or the time prior to filing the AOS case, specifically speaking. However, broadly speaking; Have I violated the terms and conditions of my nonimmigrant status? As my status was terminated after I filed for AOS and had my biometrics and the status got terminated almost 3 weeks after my biometrics. I’m confused regarding this. Is this question gonna impact my green card marriage interview? Please guide me
You were still a student in a good F1 status. You answered it correctly at the time assuming there were no other visolations.
