By KY intestacy law the father inherits any property not designated otherwise as legal right to intestacy inheritance has nother to do with actual relationship. Unfortunately, it sounds like if your brother didn't want him to have anything your brother had the opportunity through either listing a beneficiary or preparing a will but for whatever reason did not do so.
