My ex and I live in NJ. I pay child support which includes college tuition. She is moving to PA once our daughter goes to college in PA. Does my child support change bc PA does not require parents to pay for college tuition?
Child support would not change simply because the custodial parent relocates out of state. You are still bound by the terms of your agreement. It would have to be determined whether there is a clause in your agreement with regard to NJ retaining exclusive jurisdiction. Transferring the matter to another state would require an application. It is not automatic. And it is often a complicated determination.
However, if your child is going to be living on campus at college and you are contributing toward the tuition that could be a reason to be modify your child support. Unless
