I am selling property named in my parent's trust. Both are deceased. I tried to open a trust account at our bank, but was told I couldn't because their trust does not specifically name them as grantors. My parents trust created in Oregon in 1980 states "Whereas we 'dad's name' and 'mom's name' of 'Cave Junction, Josephine County, OR' are the owners as joint tenants of property located at 'address'..." and then goes on to describe the property location. I am named as the successor trustee. How should I proceed to open an account?
