Do we charge taxes in that instance?

This is a very good question, but probably one better suited for a local CPA in your county, rather than a lawyer. A CPA in your town/city--especially one who has other clients in the food/restaurant industry--will know not only your sales tax obligations under state law, but also county and municipal laws as well. Since you would ideally work with a CPA in tracking your tax remittances on at least a quarterly basis in any event, I would pose this to one who is retained to advise your business on an ongoing basis. I hope you soon obtain the precise clarity you need to be tax compliant in this regard. Be well.
