I fell and broke both bones in my left arm ( I'm left handed) and scattered my wrist working for Cracker Barrel back in June 2017 on a wet floor in the kitchen area which the floor everywhere was wet. I've went thru surgery and therapy and also thru test to show how much of disability. I just received a letter from my workman comp worker saying they wanted to offer me $1,525.77 with open medical or $3,025.77 with out medical. I do not know how much of a disability there was. She said 2%. Also Cracker Barrel, I think didn't work with me when I tried to go to back to work.
Before you accept this offer, I would highly recommend speaking with an attorney who regularly practices workers' compensation law in Tennessee. Lifetime future medical benefits are one of the most valuable benefits in workers' compensation cases, and selling this right is something that should not be taken lightly. I will not comment on here about how much you should receive to close your future medical benefits, because that is a consideration that is to be made on a case-by-case basis. Talk to a lawyer before accepting.
