As a bus driver for public transportation In California I work 4 hours in the morning then split for 4 hours and then 4 hours in th afternoon, our paid star at 21$xhour and top paid is 28$. We don’t get paid extra for split shift. Is that correct?
You likely do not get a split shift premium because you are making substantially more than the minimum wage. Please see here for an explanation of how a split shift premium works: https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/Split_Shift.htm
Good luck to you.
