I was driving with a suspended license home from work in a car not registered to me when i passed a cop who was parked on the side of the highway coming into town... Soon after I noticed he had left his post and was closing the gap between us ..I then pulled into a gas station put it in park as I was preparing to exit the vehicle the cop pulled up next to me without his Cherry's on and approached my window stating that I didn't have a license and that's why he pulled me over .. I have no prior interactions with this cop and after a search of the vehicle i was arrested for drug paraphernalia and D.w.s. my gut suggest that I fight these charges but not sure what my chances of winning are.. I appreciate any feedback on this matter immensely
Well, since you admit to driving with a suspended license, I don’t understand what your defense would be.
Your gut tells you to fight these charges?
You were pulled over on the basis of something you cannot yourself deny was the set of affairs (suspended license). To fight a charge, you'll need a defense. I don't see one in your question.
