First - my children are not on speaking terms with their mother. My daughter has interest in joining the Army Reserves which will put her in boot camp outside the state of Illinois. In the divorce decree, it states that each parent will notify the other when they plan on taking the minor children out state. Do I need to tell their mother that my daughter is going out of state as part of her obligation to the military?
whether you need to or not, if the situation were reversed, would not you want to know where your daughter was? i suspect you would. thus notify her.
You should let her know. While you may not be the one technically taking her out of State, it is always better to let the other parent know.
