I did a a paid search under my name and found this fraudulent LLC listing me as a resident agent!!!!! This apparently has been in operation for 8 yrs!!!!! I reported fraud to the State Tax office and reported it to the FTC, next step IRS ! I happen to be an IRS employee.
This isn't really an IRS issue. You may want to order your IRS transcripts for the past 8 years to see if anything doesn't look right. Also you may want to file a withdrawal as registered agent with the secretary of state. Revistered age ts don't have legal liability, tax liability or interest in the business. No Social Security number is required.
You have taken all necessary steps to inform the authorities. If you have been damaged you can certainly speak to an attorney about how to recover your damages.
