My husband were given temporary custody of you grandchild in March 2014. At the time the order basically stated we had temporary physical and legal custody of the minor child and the other grandparents could have 2 - 3 overnights per week. The parents were to have only supervised visits with the child. Now 5 years later and half way through his 3rd year of school the mother is requesting school info for her mother. Since there in really no detail in the order except what I have stated does the school have to give this information?
Without reading the order itself, it is virtually impossible to say, but IF the birth mother is asking the school for records, but she has no rights according to the order then probably not.
Take your order to an attorney for review and clarification. The language of the order determines the answer to your question.
