In my marriage dissolution, the car I drive was given to me (mine is payed off) and the car my wife drives was given to her and she was also declared responsible for paying the loan. The amount she received in settlement was compensated based on this. She's paying it, however my name is still on the loan and it shows up on my credit. I'd like to get it removed.
Is it possible to get an order for her to pay off or refinance to take my name off so that I'm not liable in the creditor's eyes? If so, is it just a matter of filing an RFO to request this? What would I need to show/ask?
Yes. File the RFO. Provide the loan information, explain the situation, and ask for a date certain for her to refinance and remove your name.

She may not qualify for the loan. One income is a lot less than two.
