I am currently on OPT and I got married in US during the OPT period. My husband's status is F1. We will go back to our home country this summer, and I need to apply for F2 visa to reenter US. We have american marriage license. Do we need to get a marriage license in my home country for my F2 visa application? Since my husband's visa is about to expire and will need to reapply the F1 visa. Do I have to wait until his visa been approved then apply for my F2 visa?
The U.S. marriage license is sufficient for your F-2 application.

I agree with my colleagues, you do not need a separate marriage license for your F2 visa.

If you married in the US you should have a US marriage certificate. Apply for both visas together.
