I was outside a restaurant with a bottle in my hand when stopped. Not driving or in a car. The ticket is $750.00 if I plead guilty and send it in. I was told if I go to court they could give me a plea bargain.
If you want to plea bargain, you're better off letting someone who is a professional negotiator do it. I know it seems trivial on it's face, but hiring a lawyer might help.
Unless you understand what you are doing plea bargaining with the District Attorney, I would say Ok Otherwise I would suggest you hire a lawyer.
If you plea guilty for a ticket addressed in Local Criminal Court, You will be vulnerable to public inspection.
Meaning if someone runs your criminal background example : potential employer, creditor for housing , etc chances are it will show up.
The question is, how badly do you need an attorney.
This is not legal advice. In order to give you legal advice I would need to see your documents first.
