I was pulled over, when confronting the officer, I asked why he had pulled me over, he said that he pulled me over because he was not able to see my temporary tags. Which was posted in the back window. Later to find out on the citation, that it was for failure to use turn signal. Which I know for fact, that I did use my turn signal prior to turning.
You can represent yourself at court and pled your case, but, this offense carries upon conviction a fine, court costs and 3 points assessed on your drivers license. I'd recommend that you consult with a criminal defense attorney for advice: www.kacdl.net
I am trying to give you a general answer to your question. We do not have an attorney-client relationship by this response on the avvo website. I have not been retained to represent you. I am licensed to practice law in Kentucky and in federal court in this state and the Southern District of Indiana. You need to seek legal advice from an attorney licensed to practice in your area..
You have the option of representing yourself, but I would recommend speaking with a local attorney and see if you can get something worked out.
My response is only a general answer and should not be construed as legal advice. This response does not create an attorney-client relationship and I am not your attorney. It is important that you consult with a licensed attorney in your area before making any decision. I am licensed to practice law in Kentucky.
I would recommend hiring a criminal defense attorney if you plan to contest the ticket in order to defend your case.
