I had a no contact order against my husband, from a domestic violence case. He violated it numerous times and was arrested 3 times for violations. He manipulated me into filing a paper asking the no contact order be lifted . He was sentenced to a year in jail, to serve 60 days, remainder suspended. He then entered the work release program for the remainder of his sentence. The 3 arrests for violating the no contact order, I was not notified when he posted bail and was released from custody. Now he has filed an ex parte order of protection against me, the hearing is in 3 days I don't know what to expect. I spoke with him today and he said he wants me out of the house, I think he is manipulating the legal system out of spite. What can I do to protect my rights?
Get yourself a GOOD family law attorney as fast as you can. Do not look at this as a D-I-Y project. If you do, you're likely to find this situation has become a D-Y-I ("Do Yourself In") situation.
I'm licensed to practice law only in Indiana, and we've never met, so I can't give you "legal" advice. My answer is simply "friendly" advice based on my experience as an attorney in Indiana, my knowledge of federal and common law, and common sense. Even if you are in Indiana, employment law questions are very fact specific, and based on the limited information you provided in your post, I can't give you legal advice, and my answer is intended as general information only. It doesn't create an attorney-client relationship.
