I was fired from usps because they awol(Absent without leave) me instead of lwop( leave without pay) when I was out due to a car accident and ibs i did notify them by phone everytime i called in and i didn't know i had to send in paperwork while off i was told to bring in acceptable documentation when returning back to work. my Dr said I was incapacitated and unable to perform normal work duties during this time. I feel this is discrimination because I'm a female and other males in similar situations of attendance irregularities were given progressive discipline and i was just fired.
