I received my u visa in October 2016 and since that time I only worked for about a month and never filed taxes because I only made about $200. My mother keeps saying I’m supposed to pay taxes and is asking me if I paid my taxes and I just don’t understand. Am I required to pay taxes? How would I find out if I owe? I will be applying for residency this October and want to make sure I do everything properly.
If your annual income was $200, you are not required to file a tax return.
