I have an existing DV Restraining order against my daughters Dad for violence against my daughter as well as myself in her presence. In this process I asked that her father still get visitation as I had hoped that things could be salvaged and repaired for my daughters sake. Recently I had to file a police report when her father violated the restraining order. I was informed by the detective that the DA as decided to pursue this and a date has been set. My concern is that with recent event and the erratic behaviors of her father I am concerned for not just her physical but her emotional well being as he has a history of violence with her and has been attempting to brib her and create divide and mistrust by feeding her false information or distortions of information, as well as using her visitation time as a “consequence”. I am worried that with going to court and him having his visitation as is it could bring more harm especially with her being Autistic. So I want to petition to move his visitation to being monitored by a court appointed monitor this way she can still see her father but it be in a safe environment with a neutral party. Her next over night visit is in 4 days.
I think you do. Clearly document the incident and attach a copy of the police report.
