My daughter has recently turned 18 yrs of age in which she has always lived with me as custodial parent and her legal guardian.
My husband (her step-father) have had rocky marriage for last 18 yrs and have since separated. Do I have any legal right to keep my daughter from living with her stepfather in a travel trailer or motel room while she is about to begin her senior year in high school? I think he is brain washing her and turning her against me just to get back at me for kicking him out.
Your daughter is 18 so she can live wherever she wants unless she lacks mental capacity and you request to be appointed as her guardian. It does not sound as though your daughter has such a disability.
It does sound as though you need a divorce. You could pursue a civil injunction requesting that your husband stay away from your daughter, depending on the circumstances you may be able to justify this.
