I had initially gone to the emergency room--That doctor took a blood test and said I could still be pregnant but never did an ultrasound+ sent home.
2 days later saw my general practitioner, I showed her photos of what I had been expelling + she replied with "not sure what that all is." Never preformed a D&C.
Ended up fainting, sweating, blue lips called 911 and again just a blood test but ultrasound showing a mass behind uterus (much more to it) sent home gushing blood.
Second ambulance the next day; only to be sent home. Months and months of bleeding from both ends.. back and forth to doctors after it being brushed off as anxiety and delusions, I have become extremely ill +fetal bones with gray tissue+old blood has come out rectally.
I am from Ontario Canada as well.
Sorry for the details..I tried to keep it short
In the USA, to prove medical malpractice you usually need another doctor to examine the medical records and render an opinion about whether the treating health care providers did their jobs in accordance with the standards in the field.
