I am an Uber driver. A few days ago I was assaulted by my Uber rider/passenger. I used the emergency 911 function that is available on the Uber driver app during the incident. Uber failed to provide proper emergency aid. They did not send any police or emergency vehicles to my location. They did however email me and called me 2 hours after I used the 911 function. If it wasn't for the fact that i foresaw the assault and made preparations to defend myself, then i could have possibly lost my life without anyone knowing. I want to sue Uber Corp. Do I have a case?
Why didn’t you actually call 911?
What damages did you incur that you would not have if they in turn called 911?
You will need to bring a copy of the terms of service for the app to an attorney for review.
My responses on this website do not constitute a consultation, nor do they establish an attorney-client relationship. Only a written retention agreement signed by client and myself will establish an attorney-client relationship. Please do not message or phone me for additional advice as the discussions would be outside this forum and would not be visible to the public (the exception being for serious prospective clients).
