I was recently in a auto accident with my two children in the car. A school bus was 100% at fault and was issued a ticket. I was advised to seek legal advise as far as a case. Both my two kids and I were taken to the emergency room and discharged. The accident happened around 8:15 am. The school bus rearend-ed a car on the opposite side of traffic that was making a left in front of me into the front end of my car. I sustained a sever concussion. My one child who is 7 months old has a rash on her face and my 9 yr old asthma has been triggered from the airbag dust and smoke that was released in the car upon impact.
I placed your question under car accidents so that personal injury lawyers can see it. I would recommend you consult with an attorney who practices in this area, I believe that a concussion can have lasting effects in some cases and whether you should pursue this might depend on that.

First, sorry that you were involved in a car crash and that you and your children were injured. From what you described it would certainly appear that you have a case. There are 3 separate matters that happen when you are in a car crash. First is the property damage to your car. Second is the medical bills and third is your claim for pain and suffering and the impact that this has had on you. Each of these has strict requirement which is why you should promptly contact an attorney that specialized or concentrates in this area before speaking with anyone from the insurance companies. Look for an attorney that is a member of NJAJ and one who is certified by the NJ Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney. Good luck and feel better.

I'm so sorry to hear about this. It sounds like a very frightening situation, especially with your kids in the car at the time. The best way to proceed at this time would be to reach out to a lawyer who has experience handling bus and motor vehicle accidents in South Jersey. The reason I say this is because there are a lot of factors that go into answering your first question, whether or not you have a case. An attorney will need to know more about the situation to accurately tell you whether you have the grounds for a case that is likely to be successful. The good news is that most of us offer free consultations, so you shouldn't have to pay anything to have a lawyer look at the specific details of your situation and help you figure out the next steps. I hope all three of you are now getting the medical care you need to get better. Good luck with your recovery and the claim!

So sorry to hear of your accident and injuries to you and your family. Based upon your description it certainly appears that you have claims that should be pursued. Aside from seeking out the necessary medical attention for your children and yourself, you would be best served by sitting with a qualified attorney to discuss these matters.

I am sorry to hear that you and your children were injured in an auto accident. Based upon your inquiry, you and your children may very well have a claim against the school bus driver who crashed into your car. You should consult with an attorney as your very soonest convenience. Good luck to you and your family.
You've asked this already, and I believe all answers in your previous question still apply. Take your facts to an attorney along with your policy information (because elections you made in YOUR policy will control what you can seek).
