My children's father has been forever bitter about child support (barely paying) and basically carrying out my pregnancy. His name isn't on birth certificates at all! We were never married and he stays ill towards me calling Dss & police to my home. None of which I was persecuted for. My issue is I recently filled out paperwork for full custody of both kids. It wasn't my main goal (which was to get visitation from him) but apparently I have to do custody 1st. I had yet to turn in paperwork being that one kid wants to leave the other wants to stay. Do I need to get separate files for each kid equaling separate mediation and court dates or can I proceed with both kids on one file and sort joint for my one son as we enter all of this?
Also the father just popped up today before I got home from work and left with my one kid saying that hes living with him now in Greensboro NC. and drove off! I had no notice or anything. I am confused. Thanks
If they have the same father you can proceed under a single file number. Just be clear when attending court/mediation that you want primary custody of one and visitation with the other.
