i live in pa andparents passed in 1993 ,no will and filed become admin. took and completed all requirements of estate and now want distribute assets as parents would have approved there are 9 heirs 7would approve other 2 want to sale, can i finalize without their consent. and do need court approval.
I think your facts are less than clear. Generally an estate cannot be settled and final distributions made until 1.) ALL heirs/beneficiaries sign off informally or 2.) a court (the Orphans Court) approves a final account of the administration of the estate and issues an order of adjudication of the account (stating the approval of the final distributions). Based on your description I would say you certainly need a lawyer.
It is not clear what has been and has not been done over the 25 years since your parents passed away.
You indicate that you are the self-appointed administrator. Does that mean that you were not appointed by the Court. If you were not appointed by the Court (Register of Wills), then you have no authority to do anything.
You most likely have more issues that may be addressed on this site. You should consult with an experienced probate attorney in the area where your parents lived.
