Third party evaluated diminished value $4000 plus for my car (I was in no-fault accident) but other party insurance carrier offers only $1000. What is the best way to resolve this? would it be worth to hire a lawyer or bring to small claim court myself? thanks.
You can not really hire an attorney to handle this and come out on it as it would be very hard to find a lawyer to handle this on contingency and paying buy the hour adds up quickly. Small claims is an option- but consider further negotiation.

You could consider having an attorney send them a letter. This can work to at the very least open negotiations in a more serious manner.
