I called the municipal court I was citation to the clerk said I am eligible for a deferred disposition. she told me to go on the website and print it out then if I have the money I can pay the fine or make a payment plan. She asked if I wanted to go to court instead and I told her the deferred disposition is best for me. So do I still have to appear in court? She made it seem like I don't have to if I'm going to take the deferred instead.
Since none of us work for the Court best to pick up the phone and call the clerk back and ask.
Providing general answers are meant to help the poster to understand some complex legal concepts and in no way creates an attorney-client relationship.
My choice would be to spend some money and hire an attorney - you can always call the court back and get a clarification - but I would use an attorney.
