Lawsuit is filed against me
I am pro se
I Filed a motion for extension of time to file answers
What do I do to get that motion heard for extension of time
Or should I just wait for plaintiff to do something ?
I am not able to pay them at all
My answer to this question would depend on a few things.
You may be "judgment proof", meaning even if Amex gets a judgment there may be no legal way for them to collect on it.
Are you currently unable to pay, or permanently unable? What is your source of income? Do you own any significant assets?
If your source of income is SSI, retirement or disability and you have no assets and do not expect any changes in the future, no further action is necessary.
