Hi. I am currently interning on CPT from the past 3 weeks. I have a F1 visa. My employer pays its employees every two weeks. They took time to get me on the payroll. Yesterday, they paid me for the first time. The amount was for three weeks. But my pay stub says that I was paid this amount for 2 weeks of work while in reality I worked for 3 weeks.
Is this going to be a problem with respect to filing tax returns and applying for OPT and work visa?
If you are being given incorrect pay stubs, speak to a local employment attorney immediately.
