My kids went to see their court appointed attorney. (GAI)
The attorney grilled my kids until they cried, went as far as telling them they are lying and to tell the truth. That they are exaggerating and saying is this what your dad told you to say? Etc
I’m starting to get worried, I thought the custody was a slam dunk since the mother is a alcoholic, abusive, and a liar.
None of them want to live with her, ages 13-17 . All kids live with me. I’m thinking this is a tactic to see if they are telling the truth or this (neutral) attorney really is on the mother’s side and believes her lies.
Any thoughts is appreciated, thank you
It could be a tactic or you could have a bad GAL. You may want to speak to your attorney, if you have one, about contacting the court to have another GAL appointed if the grilling and accusations continue or if you believe there is true bias.
