I am a new Permanent Resident of US through Asylum. I am planning to marry a girl from my home country so I guess I cant meet her without risking my green card. We might meet each other in a third country lets say Turkey. The issue is two fold: Due to my special case that prohibits me to meet her too often and long enough isnt it hard to provide proof of a sincere marriage for applying for her green card? More important question: How long is the wait time for Consular Processing through US embassy/consulate in Turkey for her? If it takes too long what you suggest we do. Go for her tourist visa while her residency application is pending. I only want to have her here after our marriage and I am confused what to do. Waiting like two years to meet my wife is like a disaster, hope you show me aSo the main goal is to bring my soon-to-be wife in US preferably through permanent residency based on relative.
I strongly urge you to consult with an immigration attorney. You are asking for very specific legal advice about your specific case. Therefore, I don't think a public forum like avvo is the appropriate place for this.

I am afraid that you will experience years of frustration.
A tourist visa won't work.
Talk to a lawyer & develop a 4-5 year plan.

I agree with my colleagues. Having processed far too many cases like yours during the last 19 years, I am more than ready to help both of you as your immigration attorney. We can have a detailed consultation session either in my San Diego office, L.A. or Orange County. Just call my office to schedule an appointment.

Unfortunately, as a Permanent Resident, there isn't a quick means of bringing in your fiancee/wife into the U.S. as a permanent resident. Call my office for a free consult to discuss further.
