The hearing with the dui isnt closed as far as i know but i cant ask my attorney anything bc hes my ex's friend and his attorney for the pfa I have against the ex. Is that legal? Do I now have to find a new laywer?
I've taken the liberty of changing the practice area of your question which while not entirely clear seems to obviously implicate the attorney's ethical obligations under these circumstances. If I understand your post, you have a pending DUI case and the attorney you have representing you is representing your ex in connection with a PFA that you have against that ex. If I have gotten the gist of the matter correct, I see know way that your attorney can represent you on the DUI. How you ended up with this attorney is a mystery that frankly doesn't require resolution in this forum. A conversation on this issue with counsel would probably be a good idea at this point.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals.
