My daughter is 21 and not in shcool anymore I’m still paying $400 a month I think her mother uses the money for herself and her rent I was never court ordered or anything I have taken care of her since birth I just want know how long do I have to pay and does it matter is she goes back to shcool or not
Child support is until 21 in New York and you have no obligation to pay after that unless there is a written divorce agreement that says you have to. It doesn't matter if she's in school or not. If there is no order for support, she's over 21, and your payments have been voluntary, you should stop payments immediately.
