Checked my driving record recently when I was getting new insurance and saw two accidents on my record that were not on there 6 months ago. One of the accidents is worth 3 points which I don't understand I've read online that accidents are one point. What can I do?
If the insurance agent is of no help, I would suggest contacting the DMV directly. It sounds like the DMV assessed points independently for both an accident and for a serious violation. When the true facts don't mesh with a written record these days, I recommend that my clients verify that they are not the victim of identity theft.
I would highly recommend seeking legal assistance and consulting with a local attorney to understand which course of action is best for your situation.
