My step daughter (14) was involved in statutory rape while in her mothers house with her mother step dad and step grandparent all in the home.. they didn't even know anything for 7-8 hours after it happened.. child services has temporarily placed her in our custody because one the the guys that was involved lives in the house and is her step brother.. what are our chances of getting full custody with possible supervised visitation
Have you or your husband filed for custody yet? I'd say that, if statutory rape & Children's Division are involved here, your chances are pretty good. Consult with a family law attorney ASAP to discuss the individual circumstances of your case, just to make sure there are no details missing to apply for custody through the court.
