Does CCP 1174 state that a landlord has to be reasonable in letting a tenant obtain their belongings within 15 days after a lockout that resulted from an eviction?? If so what is the definition of reasonable?? Also does CCP 1174 state that tenant only has one opportunity within 15 days after lockout to obtain their belongs?? Please quote the relevant sections. Thanks.
The law assumes that three days is reasonable amount of time, unless the landlord demands reimbursement for removal and storage of expenses. In that case, the three days begin to run upon your payment of the landlord's storage cost. (Civil Code section 1965 (e)(1).)
