I am 19 years old. I am a good kid. I have never ever in my life done something wrong. I was in a store in my town and i was looking at pens. I changed a couple of the price tags to make them a little cheaper. I went and paid for the pens after walking around a little more. As i left she stopped me took my picture and told me i shop lifted. When we went in her office i said i was so sorry and owned up to it and said i would take the punishment and I felt horrible because i had never done anything like that. the cop came and gave me a ticket for a court date.... What should I do?? and what should I expect to come of this?? I am so scared... I really cant believe I did it... It was a total lapse in judgement and I am going to be forever horrored by what I did. Please Help!
Hopefully there is an alternative, diversionary program for minor offenders that you will be eligible to get into. Speak with an attorney in your area to discover your options.
