Is it common for a case to be transferred to local office a month after our employment based interview was conducted? Interview had gone well and we were told that once the retrogression os over, we would get our green card.
I'm confused by your facts. Didn't the interview take place at the local office?
Overall things sound good. Retrogression is hurting many people. You may have to wait until we get more visa numbers ... in October.
