Before you try for custody, get the paternity test. If the paternity test proves you are the biological father, you will be able to seek custody and have her ordered to pay child support. Be aware that your ability to care for the child, your job (military status), extended family will all be considered and compared with the mother's. Just because she is a liar or, perhaps because she is, the court may not be persuaded that you will be the better parent now.
