I was arrested for some tickets that I did not realize were in warrant status. They were all for no insurance, expired registration, and expired vehicle inspection stickers. On my court date, I pleaded nolo contendre and set up a payment plan. As there were 12 tickets (4 occasions where I got tickets for these three things) the payments were $275 a month. After making 5 monthly payments, my financial situation changed, and I could no longer afford the payments. So, I stopped paying them for 2 months, and the 7 remaining tickets are in warrant status again. It is very important that I clear these warrants up and get my license reinstated. I am now able to make payments again. Can I set up a new payment plan, even though I "defaulted" on the first plan I committed to?
Very doubtful you can set up apayment plan again. Your options are to pay-in-full what you owe, plus the additional warrant fees, or, sit your time out in jail for the tickets, usually at $100 per day.
