i filed for form I-751 and paid with a cashiers check. i read somewhere that they put the receipt number on the back of the check but i just want to know if that's only with personal checks or cashier checks as well. They received my application on September 6 at the California Center and i haven't received a receipt notice yet(9/27/18), are they still backed up?
It takes about three to four weeks after they receive your forms and documents for you to receive the Notice of Action (receipt). Have patience.

Yes, it takes longer now for the receipt notice to come. Sometimes it may take up to 60 days, then you can call and inquire.
