I plead no contest, but the case is still open and I have another court date on Feb 15, and May 31. I did my book and release, but the court date for feb 15, is to extend my 'report to jail date' since there was some confusion on transferring my home deletion to the county i live in. May 31, is my restitution court date.
This is my first time going through this I have been in contact with my public defender but he has not been clear about this, and is not sure when DOJ is putting everything in the system and says it could take a few months?
Yes, it is considered a conviction as soon as the plea is entered. The other court dates, like the restitution hearing and motion to extend your turn-in date, don't affect that.
However, the court clerk might not have transmitted that information to DOJ yet.
