Recently, I just signed a one-year lease. About two months ago I got a 60 notice to vacate. The problem is, the landlord put the wrong date on the notice. The notice said we had to leave by July 2019, but today we are told that we have to vacate by the end of the month. We pointed out the typo and they corrected and printed a new one with an additional 60 days.
If you have an unexpired one-year lease, the landlord normally could not evict you until the lease expired (i.e. the landlord could not serve you with a 60-day notice).
Moreover, if your tenancy is subject to LA's RSO, the landlord could only evict for one of the specified reasons, and would have to comply with the other requirements of that law.

Yes you might be able to. I agree with Attorney Busch. If you are currently on an unexpired lease, the landlord cannot evict you by serving you with a 60 day notice. That 60 day notice provision under the California Civil Code only applies if you are a month to month tenant.
Also, if the rental property is under rent control, the landlord will most likely have to pay you relocation expenses.
